It’s a long way to the top…….if you want to rock and roll!

5 Feb 2020

Ok people, it’s time to let your inner rocker loose!

‘Going down, party time, my friends are gonna be there too, I’m on the highway to hell.’ AC/DC

We are very proud to be sponsoring Brooke Leeder and her dancers from John Curtin College of the Arts who will be performing at Highway to Hell.

Perth Festival are presenting a once-in-a generation opportunity for us to ‘reclaim’ the Canning Highway for a day of live performances.

Highway to Hell is a free, family-friendly event which will create the world’s longest stage. There will be live music performances on the back of slow-moving trucks and at specific sites along the highway, including Tompkins Park in Melville, opposite The Leopold Hotel in Bicton and under The Rainbow in Fremantle.

Date – Sun 1st Mar 2020

LocationThe Rainbow – May St, East Fremantle to The Rainbow between the bridges in Fremantle.

Time – from 4pm onwards, trucks roll from 5pm onwards

Choreography – Brooke Leeder

Dancers –featuring dancers from John Curtin College of the Arts.

So make your plan, get there and don’t miss out on this massive event!

Brooke’s RADAR performance, which we sponsored last November has been mentioned in the Critics Choice of Dance Australia:

“Brooke Leeder and Dancers’ RADAR, presented at the B-Shed in Fremantle, was a work of scale in terms of size, but also in terms of choreography and design. Bringing together 5 independent dancers and 23 student dancers from John Curtin College of the Arts on stage, this production was an example of best practice when it comes to mentoring the next generation.” Critics Choice 2019, Dance Australia.

We are very excited to see what the performance will be around this new project. With the icon Rainbow sculpture as a back drop, Brooke and her dancers will delight with detail and passion.
